because I don't know what else to do.

I am sorry your government failed you. I mourn your loss of
family members, your spouses, your parents, your children...
your pets, and of life as you once knew it.

I am sorry I cannot be with you, to help heal your sorrow.
Please know that I am there with you in spirit.

And please know I will do everything in my power to change the
"leadership" that sat by idly while you lost everything, that
couldn't bring themselves to do what was right, that abandoned
you...when you needed them the most.

3. I am crying in my rum and coke

I am at the saturation point, ....not for the mixture I am imbiding, but for the emotions I feel over this entire fiasco regarding Katrina.

Being unemployed, I have been glued to the TV, and DU...writing emails to officials, posting messages.

My one friend says I worry too much, but then again, he does not even watch the news. My respect for him wanes hearing this.

How do I convince him that if nobody says anything, nobody speaks out, things will continue to deteriorate in this once fine country?
It is my duty as a patriot of this country to speak out against tyranny and injustice.

I was cogitating on what I might do to combat these thugs.

I had a guy come out to evaluate my heating woes, and he said I should come to a Republican gathering that was being held this evening.
I let him know I was a Liberal.

Now that I know his political stance, he has a very slim chance of getting the job.
