Mike Brown must be fired! Here's why...
It's not enough that Mike Brown was put on desk duty. Here's why. Mr. Aaron Broussard's testimony about the woman who died on Friday night waiting on the help that Mike Brown kept pubic ally promising was "on the way." Mr. Broussard is right. "Bureaucracy murdered people and bureaucracy must stand trial for that." Accountability is coming and the American People are bringing it WITH THE HELP OF THIS SUPERB MEDIA COVERAGE THAT YOU ARE GIVING US. I want my country back. Mike Brown's behavior is criminal. This administration is criminal, not to mention morally bankrupt and without a shred of "Christian" decency or "Compassionate Conservatism."

1. Chertoff too
another one whose arrogance outdoes his talent by a mile.
He needs to be held accountable too.
Chertoff has been clueless and his inability to grasp the situation resulted in unnecessary deaths.

7. Arrogance and Delusion from Chertoff just like everyone else
in this administration. Here's what I think about Chertoff:

6. I agree. Chertoff needs to go too. I loved that whole "Louisiana
is a city..." (a quote from Chertoff last week) thing that Keith O. wrote.

3. Trent Lott criticizes Brown for FEMA/Mississippi response.
With New Orleans dominating the news, I didn’t really know Mississippi had a problem with Michael Brown too.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Trent Lott of Mississippi issued the following statement on the decision to relieve FEMA director Michael Brown of his responsibilities of managing Hurricane Katrina relief efforts:

"Something needed to be done. While I have been hesitant to publicly criticize Michael Brown, my staff and I had already concluded that FEMA was overwhelmed, undermanned and not capable of doing its job. My office has been successful in working directly with Administration officials in Washington, instead of FEMA, to bring relief to Mississippians impacted by Hurricane Katrina. And we have worked with generous corporations, businesses and charities in funneling targeted relief to Mississippians where it is needed. Something needed to happen. Michael Brown has been acting like a private, instead of a general. When you’re in the middle of a disaster, you can’t stop to check the legal niceties or to review FEMA regulations before deciding to help Mississippians knocked flat on their backs. FEMA needs to just say ‘yes’ and get it done. I’m hopeful we’ll see some changes in that direction after today’s announcement."

4. I've said before, this wasn't criminal negligence, it was
pre-meditated murder. They knew people would die the longer they kept aid from coming. They didn't give the orders to send in aid immediately...aid didn't go in for a week. They deliberately withheld aid..ergo, pre-meditated murder.

5. Seems Bush Sr. did the same with Hurricane Andrew
See:

I had the same sinking feeling: that there was something deliberate about the whole thing. Seems then that Mike Brown did his job very well for Bush & Co. So, then, Bush* wasn't lying when he said. "Good job, Brownie."

8. Shraby you are so right. Tonight I watched some news piece on
MSNBC (I think) about 2 babies that died from dehydration. Two other people did too. I thought to myself, what does a person do when their baby is dead (worse, when they watch their baby die) because the Federal Government of the United States didn't provide water, nothing spectacular, nothing extrordinary...water.
