I think the U.S. is merely _lucky_ that we haven't been struck again. Lucky.

Why? Because I don't think the Department of Homeland Security has done *anything* to enhance the security of the country.

Is there any actual evidence that DHS has done anything beyond their silly color-coded alert?

I mean... we know they're doing nothing extra to secure incoming shipments... and nothing to protect nuclear sites... and nothing to protect our transportation systems... and I'm sure the list goes on.

Perhaps DHS as a whole is as defunded as FEMA is.

Maybe we're screwed a lot more than we think.

That's my beautiful thought for the fourth anniversary of 9/11.
