Is the "freedom walk" over?
All I have is some guy singing "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," after a Gonzales presentation. And, by the way, does that creep anyone else out? That's like the "sword of Jeebus" song of all time.

Anyway -- is the freedom walk over?

2. Just the anti-religion types being insulting to those that are religious.
Best just to ignore such things.

7. I don't think so
When I say it, it's to refer to the fake-o, right-wing Jesus. Though I do, personally, think that anyone who believes that Jesus was the anthromorphized son of a material God has a few screws loose, I think that Jesus, as a philosopher, was quite brilliant -- if he existed and, further, said all the stuff attributed to him -- which isn't a certainty, either.

And if someone doesn't find "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," played at a federal event, while we're in a pseudo-holy war -- that's their delusional problem.

17. Well put. Good defence...
...esp. given the fact that NOTHING you said could even REMOTELY be construed as intolerant.

11. Yep
Its from a Simpson's joke, used on the Internets to malign those who only "use" God when they are in need and to appear pious while they live lives of evil and deceit. You know, Republicans. Its not a slam at those who truly believe in God.

8. Many origins, seems Frank Zappa used it years ago
and along the way it stuck.

Here's more info:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jeebus

IMHO, it's a less-slang way of saying "Jesus!" when responding to something to express disgust.

Disclaimer: I believe in Jeebus. :)

9. Think they quit marching
after realizing they were marching to the tune Poor, Poor Pitiful Me sung by Linda Ronstadt, the living in sin girlfriend of California's liberal ex-governor Brown.

12. I turned on C-Span at like 9:30
thinking that I could laugh at some roly-pollies in puffy-paint sweatshirts, and then, alas, it was in vain.

Thanks for answering the question.

15. I think the fact that the "freedom march"
was on total lockdown, from beginning to end -- the fencing, the registration -- and I heard that media couldn't be along the parade route -- is telling, in and of itself. Why the freeptards can't figure this kind of stuff out, I don't know. I wish I could have a conversation with one, about it. I would consider it my charity work, for the week.

13. I remember Kathleen Battles singing the Battle Hymn of the Republic
at the end of the 9/11 Memorial service on 9/14. It freaked me out because that was my first clue that the idiot was responding with the military rather than the judiciary. Two wars later, and Osama is still out there.
