Pardon me for a moment while I get something off my chest --Britt Hume.
Edited on Sun Sep-11-05 11:10 AM by Pepperbelly
I am 52 years old. I have seen much in my life. Historically, I lived through the Civil Rights movement, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, the Iranian Hostage Crisis, and all of the bullshit since.

But in some ways, the absolute arrogance, hypocrisy, the steadfast ability to turn everything on its head --black becomes white, rich become poor, wrong become right, lies become true --of Britt Hume takes the cake. What a smarmy, self-righteous, cold-blooded, lying rat bastard son of a bitch who no doubt in my mind, masturbates to photographs of dead children!

He just said ... that in New Orleans ... there were three phases of the efforts and the state and city governments blew it on the first two while the feds stepped in successfully in the third. IOW, Bush managed it successfully and it is a victory.

Even Juan Williams called bullshit on it. Mara LIARson less so.

But old Britt ... old ego-destroying, son-suicide-inducing puddle of santorum ...

He is mad about this. This is a Bush victory. Why don't you people see this!

I have never seen such denial of IN-YOUR-FACE reality in my life. And I lived through that doddering old bastard of a prez who shambled through the White House like a Dawn of the Dead zombie, denying everything.

Britt, may you develop painful, swollen hemorrhoids, 'roids that preclude the painless excretion from your bowels, may you carry out your morning constitutional in a haze of sweat-soaked, sobbing, blood-oozing pain. And may the paperwork following leave you shaking and nauseous

3. What is wrong with his face? I've never seen such a sour mug.
It looks like a hot pizza that started to slide off it's tray.

the rat-bastard's unfortunate mug.

some very fine people named Brett or Bret.

10. very specific ...
from everything I have read, he had a son who was gay and who committed suicide. Perhaps I overstepped by connecting the old man's shit attitude with the son's suicide but I still haven't overstepped as much as they do every day about our people.

15. wow - how very sad
maybe that is what has turned him into such a disgusting, greedy, "moralizing about the immoral" (as in the using "moralizing" tones to sell the immoral policies of this administration), dried up angry person. Guilt can be transformational either to try to understand, rectify, atone -etc - or to self-deny and repress to the point where one has to be angry about everything - but deflect the anger/blame away from self in order to prevent the first kind of transformation.

14. You know its out there when Williams calls BS.
Hume may in fact be the worst part of Faux, because he is an anchor, rather than a pundit, ala O'Lielly, Hannity, etc...

Hume is a first rate hack, liar, villain who has taken Orwellian news reading to new lows.

25. I went there to hear Landreau ...
and then after she got off, I just zoned out on it until I heard Hume's words which snapped me right out of my daze. I literally could not believe what I was hearing.

Alas, I doubt that know where my little tv is tuned unless they have some method of tracking what channels are being watched on cable which would be odd most of the time as it goes 12 ... 13 ... 14 ... 15 ...

:D

As far as watching FaustNews it's a must to know thy enemy, even if it is repugnant.
