Don't you just love the juicy irony of the word "troll" being thrown around to quell dissent on DU by members of a party that derives its name from democratic ideals and the freeflow of discussion?

Let's get something straight once and for all. Criticizing our democratic leaders when we see they may not be doing things to our liking IS THE VERY ESSENCE OF DEMOCRACY. If you don't like the comments or threads that contain this type of criticism (constructive or not), then DON'T READ OR POST on that thread.

I love my party, but I love democratic/liberal ideals even more. When I see that my elected representatives are not promulgating or effectively fighting for those ideals, as a citizen of the country it is my right to raise a stink.

just getting here to start reading but the moment we give up the right to critcize we are just becoming like the the right wing that thinks that anything this administration does has got to be ok in spite of any facts. Our leaders work for us, the people, and holding their feet to the fire is what we are supposed to do.
