Has the American Supports Your Freedom March started?
I can't find any references about it in LBN. I'm wondering about crowd size, counter-protests, etc. Thanks for any info.

1. There have been some posts about it.
They played "Hunk-a, Hunk-a, Burning Love" while stoic faces in white T-shirt marched solemnly between barricades. But I haven't heard anything else about it.

I just find it inhuman. While hundreds of thousands are homeless, while thousands of bodies lay scattered throughout New Orleans, while thousands of children and families remain torn apart, while toxic waste and disease infests a once thriving city, while an entire American city remains in shambles, we have a parade (within two weeks of the destruction) to honor the country and its leader????

The unending callousness of this administration will never again surprise me. A parade is inappropriate less than two weeks after hundreds of thousands of American citizens were devastated. The group organizing this should have canceled and sent the money to the Hurricane Katrina refugees.

2. It started; it ended.

<sarcasm>Both participants (Ben and Gladys McGillicutty from Tuscaloosa, AL) sang "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and called for Chimpy to be declared permanent king of the country. Faux News photoshopped their images thousands of times to show tens of thousands of attendees.</sarcasm>
