4. Oh no.
The 2-disc Alligator Records Anniversary compilation set that I got him to autograph for me is now even more meaningful.

RIP Gatemouth.

Back in Kazoo I had a a dear, dear friend by the name of Annette.

She was the lead singer in a blues band called Blues House - and she was fuckin' SMOKIN'! Big time local celebrity.

I need to look her up ....

But anyway - She started our very own annual Kalamazoo Blues Festival - and Gatemouth played at the first one. That's where I bought my cd, and he was very gracious and autographed it for me.

sidenote: 8 more hours 'til I pick Jeff up! :D

Been at work and missed this earlier. He was for real and I never got to see him play.

6. The uncounted victims of Katrina...
Many will surely die of broken hearts in the times to come.

7. I believe he was sick before the storm?
but the storm and the trauma probably were the final nail.

RIP

9. Yes he was sick before
but a broken heart certainly doesn't help your recovery. He may never have recovered but there are many people who will never recover from this.
