Cindy Sheehan, who led a protest against the war in Iraq this summer near President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas, will appear in Pittsburgh Sunday.
The local Thomas Merton Center said Sheehan is stopping here on the way to a Sept. 24 anti-war rally in Washington, D.C.
Sheehan will take part in an event at 4:30 p.m. on Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park in Oakland.
Sheehan's son, Casey Sheehan, was killed in Iraq, prompting Cindy Sheehan to camp outside Bush's ranch, asking that he speak with her about the war. Bush did not meet with her during his vacation in Texas.
Joining her here will be Diane Davis Santoriello of Penn Hills, mother of Lt. Neil Santoriello Jr., who was killed in Iraq. She has been leading protests here, and Sheehan's "Camp Casey" will be recreated as "Camp Neil" at Sunday's event.
Note: March to Soldiers and Sailors starts 6:45 PM with a candle-light vigil at 7:30 PM
