Has the MSM said anything about the disaster in Mississippi?
Lost in all the New Orleans drama seems to be the story that Mississippi's governement failed its citizens to. Has anyone been talking about this at all?

3. Last week reporter complained of no Fema, Natl guard or R Cross in Miss.
I believe it was on CNN or NBC two days after the hurricane hit where a female reporter was vehement about the lack of assistance of any kind in the flattened Mississippi town she was reporting from. She went on a rant questioning why the news reporters and network people could all manage to get to devastated areas of Mississippi but had seen absolutely no govt response personnel whatsoever.

4. NO is getting most of the coverage, many journalists were there then.
Mississippi (how is that abreviated? MS, MI, MP?) and other gulf coast states have not gotten the coverage or help that New Orleans did. But there were many journalists in NO which was good because otherwise they wouldn't have gotten what they have as fast as they have. I know, abysmally slow and inadequately, but I truly think that, save for the massive media coverage they got, it would've been slower. People are tiring of this crisis and not wanting to think about it, esp since "everyone is now safe in NO and the water is getting pumped out and everything is hunkydory :sarcasm:".

Please please please realize that it is not over, that there are places that still haven't gotten first help. Continue to donate and help and press for coverage and yell and scream and rant and all that.

Peace.
