Holy Shit! The trailer for George Clooney's Good Night, and Good Luck
Edited on Sun Sep-11-05 03:44 PM by Melodybe
Apparently George Clooney couldn't find an actor to play McCarthy so instead he made the whole movie black and white and used real news footage of McCarthy.

George Clooney is my hero!

"A nation, terrorized by its own government."

Please Check it out for yourself:

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind was actually a good movie, Clooney is a smart director.

This movie looks like it has Oscar written all over it.

10. I don't think it's the only one making a statement...
'V for Vendetta' looks really good. Lone man fighting against totalitarian government.

Aeon Flux, based on an MTV cartoon, but being cast into totalitarian government.

Not sure of any others...

K.

11. This might give some heart to the lame US press corpse
and wake them up a bit further, because the movie seems to tell the story of how CBS reporter Edward Murrow and colleagues stood up to the abuse of power to restore democracy.

17. Check out Clooney's next picture about the CIA
Syriana

Robert Baer (Clooney), a 21-year veteran of the CIA, spent his entire career investigating terrorists around the globe. As the dangers of terrorism increased, Baer watched as the CIA's funding was cut, politics overtook judgment, and warning signs were ignored. But the struggle becomes personal when an oil executive (Damon) and his wife (Peet) are faced with a family tragedy...

Edited on Sun Sep-11-05 04:16 PM by Melodybe
in the last 100 years.

What's great is all the telecasts are word for word what they were in the 50's, if not the actual footage.

This movie is a great hisotry lesson.

We should all go see it and make it number one.

21. It's the opening film of the New York Film Festival.
http://www.filmlinc.com/nyff/films/goodnight.htm

I'm hoping to get tickets. If not (it's going to sell out really quickly), I'll see it in the theater during its run.

Clooney is a very talented guy (as well as being hot as hell!). Confessions of a Dangerous Mind was a very impressive directorial debut.
