Rootin'-tootin' General Honore: Do I smell a political run?
"He's a cigar chompin', cussin', rootin' tootin' Cajun" etc.....

Why do I sense he will be elected to some high office?

P.S. This is everything aside from the work he is doing. Just seems the profile is tailor-made to American's voting tastes these days.

2. I get the feeling he isn't interested.
I don't think he has a lot of use for politicians or bs.

7. I'm told his name is the french word for "honor"
The guy is straight out of central casting. Too perfect; I'm almost skeptical.

8. I dunno. I think he may be the real deal
At the very least he does not appear to be "stuck on stupid" like the administration. I also love that he reminded his troops they are no longer in Iraq and to watch where they point their weapons. I really, really like that he seems to care enough to help stranded pets.

9. And works 20+ hour days
with the troops in the field.

Now having been at one time an 0-3 in somebody else's army, you can tell a capable officer from the pencil geeks... he is the capable kind... and the one that toops will follow through the muck, hell or high water, no pun intended, and to the gates of hell

he is also a swearing, cigar stomping, son of a bitch that gets the job done and even gets the local cops to aim their weapons down... that is what this man is...

Will he run later in life for poltiical office? maybe, maybe not, but he also got the assignment since it is HIS ARMY running operations and the Big Red One is there, per shoulder patch... so give Honore a pass, I fear that he has been having poltiicos for lunch over the last few and may even have choice words for Bush, in private of course...
