Poll question: For Stinky Bushes - Impeachment!
Yes, this a**hole is destroying our country! Should we push for impeacment now? Should we wait? Should we not push for impeachment at all?

2. Why don't we talk about an invasion of the snot-creatures from Mars?
It's just as likely as impeachment proceedings for the chimp.

No matter how much we wish, it:

Ain't.
Gonna.
Happen.

3. Launch the impeachment now. Use the votes in house
committees or on the house floor to determine who must go in 2006.

4. You left out a selection.
You need a blank with: Just a dream. Won't happen.

We simply do NOT have the power. We could introduce a bill of impeachment every day until the new congress is sworn in in 2007, and absolutely NOTHING would happen. REPUBLICANS DO NOT IMPEACH REBUPLICANS.

14. but again...
what about the power of the people? Is it lost? If we had a concerted effort to bombard republican Congresspeople daily demanding impeachment, don't you think this would send a message? At the least, it would exert more pressure and create the conditions necessary for the Dems to win in '06. And again we need something BIG to happen for the Dems to win, because it looks like Katrinagate is already getting smoothed over.

24. Power to the people? That includes people who voted Republican.
You seem to be thinking that an overwhelming number of people voted Democratic, but that didn't happen.

Power to the people, in this case, because WE LOST THE ELECTIONS, means "power to the Republicans." Sorry, but that is the real world.

8. Do it now
Kick them while they're down, while New Orleans is fresh in the minds of the American public. We have to think like republicans in these matters.

Keep attacking and don't let up until they're finished.

10. Get the paperwork out of the way now
Then it will be ready for the vote of the Democratic controlled Congress in January of 2007.

Save a lot of time that way.

11. if we wait until '06
The best case scenario would be to get a democrat majority back in the house and senate in '06, then Pelosi would be speaker of the house. THEN impeach Bush/Cheney. Pelosi would be prez instead of Hastert.

13. Impeach now. If we fail before 2006, we'll do it again.
If anyone deserves to be immediately impeached and removed before he can do anymore damage, it's certainly the fuck-up G. W. Fraud himself. IMPEACH THE BASTARD!

25. You're right on. ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK!
That's all the neo-handjobs understand. We know they feel the heat when they pitifully exclaim, "Let's not play the blame game." Fuck that! These assholes are to blame for their own actions, or, rather, nonactions.

20. Hey, my pleasure! That's why this forum exists!
Although it is still my personal opinion that we should wait, opinions are like a**holes - everyone has one and, like it or not, they ALL stink!

That's why the Founding Fathers created Congress, so varying opions could be discussed and argued and, hopefully, some kind of agreement could be made that was closer to the truth than any one opinion. Unfortunately, that's not the way it usually works today, but at least they TRIED!

DU is a great forum. Emotions run high sometimes, but there is a lot to be learned from the discussion here. Well, at least MOST of them!
;-)

and honestly gets fully behind impeachment right away and gets it started, it would hit cheney too....thats how these always go. it will hit every criminal who's involved and that's important to remember......
