How Bush Blew it

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9287434/

Sept. 19, 2005 issue - It's a standing joke among the president's top aides: who gets to deliver the bad news? Warm and hearty in public, Bush can be cold and snappish in private, and aides sometimes cringe before the displeasure of the president of the United States, or, as he is known in West Wing jargon, POTUS. The bad news on this early morning, Tuesday, Aug. 30, some 24 hours after Hurricane Katrina had ripped through New Orleans, was that the president would have to cut short his five-week vacation by a couple of days and return to Washington. The president's chief of staff, Andrew Card; his deputy chief of staff, Joe Hagin; his counselor, Dan Bartlett, and his spokesman, Scott McClellan, held a conference call to discuss the question of the president's early return and the delicate task of telling him. Hagin, it was decided, as senior aide on the ground, would do the deed

2. "As blunt as....
it could get without Secret Service involvement."

I loved it when Nagin slammed his hand down and ended the facade that Bush is some kind of invincible dictator. (I'm also quite sure that the Governor and the Mayor brought some of the biggest, baddest troopers and police officers they had to neutralize the intimidation factor of the SS).

4. Read with CAUTION, DU'ers! It starts off good but then devolves into Bush

Rove Talking points at about Page 3. Read with caution...it's spin.

When Thomas said Bush's problem is "lack of Imagination" I got a red alert in my gut...because Bush's problem is really LACK OF EMPATHY! HE can't relate to the fellow Americans whom he's supposed to serve!

Thomas says "lack of Imagination."

Think of this and see how he trashes Blanco (Queen Bee) and Nagin in this article as he goes along. He says Nagin declared a NO's State of Emergency a FULL DAY after BUSH Whore Barber (who is former head of Repug Party..now Gov. of Miss.) declared State of Emergency in Mississippi! Now is this TRUE? Or, not.

I ask you to Google and find out. Evan Thomas ...used to be a great journalist til he got on the Bush Payroll and is now "force fed" the Rover Talking Points.

Millions of Americans will read Evan Thomas's "Newsweek" report in their Doctors and Dentist Offices in the coming months. Thomas and "Newsweek" and "Time Mag" understand that their life (outside the new Blogosphere..is their ability to influence the average American by their "shelf life" in those Med. professionals offices. Bloggers have limited shelf life to report the truth. Evan Thomas and his ilk can lie until the cows come home..because of "shelf life." :puke: It was a crap article.
