Bush SPIN:She's a nice lady, but she don't know nothin' about the military
That's the spin this administration is using to screw Governor Blanco to the wall.

........She didn't ask for troops......No, she did, but she didn't know which specific ones to ask for......Well, she didn't know the right squadron......

Tell me, if a governor requests National Guard troops that have been offered by another governor, do you need to know the color of their stripes?

If a governor asks the President to declare a State of Emergency and bring in FEMA, aren't FEMA and DHS responsible for assessing what kind of troops are necessary?

Does every male governor know everything about the military?

Does this smell like woman-bashing to you?

1. taht is republcians for you
yesterday I was going on with some pukes over blanco's request, including letters and relevant documents. Finally they said, you don't know how the federal government works... the saga continued but this is classic for them... weak women don't know how this works, so they should stay in teh kitchen, if you get my drift

The missing ones might have been able to advise her.

10. One of the most important things to remember
is all the spin comes from Karl Rove and the talking points that they get at fox and the others rank-in-file. Rove takes a person's strength and makes it their weakness. So if they're spinning Blanco didn't call for troops and didn't know who to call (which is pure nonsense, the national guard doy) then the truth is backwards. Always remember whatever they're spinning the truth is backwards. Same thing at the top.

offer proof that she can name every squadron in the US military.

14. It Was Her "Time Of The Month"
I all but heard a wingnut hate radio vermin say that the other day.

Yep...add piggest sexism to the racism and class bullshit from wingnuts as they try to blame game their way out of the mess they've created.

How ironic these goons will look at a "woman's lack of military experience" and give a pass to all their paymasters? Oh well...honesty and credibility have no place when there's money to be made and egos to be fed.

I'll keep saying it...no matter whatever happened in Louisana, what's the story about all the screw-ups and delays in Misssissippi and Alabama. Didn't Barbour or Riley sign the right papers or call in the right troops either?

16. and then he went to bed
7. 8pm on Monday, the day of the storm, the governor asked Bush for everything he's got.

Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, a motherly but steely figure known by the nickname Queen Bee, knew that she needed help. But she wasn't quite sure what. At about 8 p.m., she spoke to Bush. "Mr. President," she said, "we need your help. We need everything you've got."

8. Instead of helping New Orleans Monday night, Bush went to bed.

here are a number of steps Bush could have taken, short of a full-scale federal takeover, like ordering the military to take over the pitiful and (by now) largely broken emergency communications system throughout the region. But the president, who was in San Diego preparing to give a speech the next day on the war in Iraq, went to bed.

17. Governor Blanco asked for "everything you got" on Tuesday. You
did dick all. Lawlessness must have been too much of a political payoff to stop it sooner rather than later. What was Rumsfield - the head of the military - doing the day after Blanco asked for "everything you got". The Pentagon was playing a pity play and crying that "people were more concerned with the victims in New Orleans than they were with the Pentagon's feelings".

That is what the WH did when Blanco asked for "everything you got". The WH & kin, were playing psychological games.

:woohoo:

So who is it that doesn't understand what "GIVE ME EVERYTHING YOU GOT MR. PRESIDENT" after a hurricane - who is it that doesn't understand the military Mr. Bush?

Once again you project your infantile reactions & understanding of the world onto others.

***HOLES!

21. Obviously, Bushie didn't know the names of the
right military division either. Since he didn't know, he could safely go to bed. Simple, really. If you don't know the answer, you don't have to deal with the problem. That's how he has gotten through life to date.
