10. We've had several Scotties over the last few decades
And they are real characters. On the one hand, the Scottie traits are quite strong and consistent, but on top of that is a delightful personal quirkiness.

Our newest addition is a puppy:

And from what I hear, Barney is not all that fond of POTUS. He won't answer to George's call, tries to run away from him.

Scotties don't give their loyalty indiscriminately, so you have to wonder....
