Just like Iraq playbook..."School is open in Gulfport!"
"The schools are opening! They've been repainted! School is open in Gulfport! Next breaking news update: playground refurbished, soccer field open. Coming soon: puppies reunited with their loved ones.

Film at eleven. Puke shortly thereafter.

1. Ah, but have we "turned the corner"?
Things don't get better until we turn that corner, you know.

7. Don't worry...it's basically a BushCo PR stunt/lie
ONE SCHOOL has opened. Of course, they're still scooping bodies from the drainage ditches outside, but that shouldn't deter our fearless Disaster Propaganda Forces from getting right out front with this shining message of BushCo's strong leadership.

8. This raises a good point
NOW you see how the frustrated Iraqis feel, wanting good to come from the
situation but living with mostly misery and betrayed promises. We KNOW Bush and his cronies will continue to wreck harm on the victims, that their past horrendous acts are getting a pass. But no one wants for the rebuilding to fail.

Now we know what it is like to have the choice of collaboration or destructive rebellion forced on us. An occupied country looted, conquered, abused and UNDERNEATH all this fighting almost a sidestory war against the dark future mapped out for us by the American "authorities".

The press is treating us like insurgents, like terrorists, like conspiracy nuts, like partisans. The fact we act or think in that frame was by direct result of the aggressive coup against America from within. So how are we supposed to behave and NOT fall into the nice slave or bad
insurgent framework and get all negative? How not to make the betterment of Bush victims work back again for Bush?

So this is how it feels to be an occupied Iraqi nation. And this is how our own corporate press treats its own people.

9. CNN ratchets it up a notch..."adorable children" at ribbon cutting
Shhhh...don't look too closely at the video...all the kids are WHITE. Hmmmm.

But hey, they are adorable, aren't they.

Oh, and the Alan Chernoff just glibly, unashamedely repeated the Offical Party Line; this storm was so devastating, "no one could have seen it coming." He actually said that. "But these kids are just happy to have their school back."

Sure, Alan. Your check is in the mail, you shameless whore.
