The compassion of Barbara Bush.
"And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this--this (she chuckles slightly) is working very well for them."

Mrs. Bush made this comment to an NPR reporter recent about hurricane victims who are residing in the Houston Astrodome.

1. "and this is kind of SCARY, but they want to stay here!"
They cut off the most telling part of that quote.

3. To quote Monty Python "What a silly bunt".
As opposed to being out on the street, wading through sewage, or penned up like animals in the Superdome, yes Bar, this is close to heaven.

4. Said it all, I agree
Walking over dead bodies, yes, that which does not kill us makes us stronger? What I can't figure out is why that white-haired moose of a woman isn't there helping relief efforts with her own two hands. She looks pretty well-fed, overfed even. She could share, don't you think? So she's old? So are so so so many of the victims, in nursing homes, and where the hell were they supposed to go??? Aren't they knee deep in the muck, shoveling it around with their own tired old hands?

Soft, well-manicured hands hers. Sure. "THEY" were underprivileged anyway. And she's oh so happy she's not, can't even conceive it, being that impoverished herself. And that mindset would kill any one of us, babies and seniors alike, just to avoid it. It's beyond her bubbly head, that former first lady, to contemplate just HOW awful it is that OUR people are so underprivileged that THIS could be something "working out very well for them"

THEM

She is just like all those other assumed-royal traitors, in that, she is not one of us.

It's them. And us. To them.

I'm glad I'm us. At risk for life and limb as we are, in our nation. The likes of her are, in all reality, they aren't human. They just aren't. You can't be a human if, when you realize that your actions lead to the horrible deaths of thousands of people, you somehow believe - and actually have the nerve to say aloud - that it "is working very well for them" that survived. That thought process is, I believe, insane. NOT human. It simply cannot be.

5. The compassion microchip was left out of Barbara BushBot
That version is too old to update.

Throw her on the scrapheap. :)

6. It is NOT a "compassion microchip"
She was supposed to get a "compassion simulator chipset." As you know, however, the hardware is too dated to accept such an advanced co-processor, and only replacing the entire "mother"board will suffice. Building "compassion" directly into the motherboard was attempted several times, but the chip kept getting spit out!

8. I hope she speaks up more.
Unlike her husband and her sons, she doesn't cover up how she thinks. People can see all of the Bush classism and racism when she talks.

he once had with her in an airplane while GWB was still governor of Texas. He said she wasn't a nice person.

12. Ann Richards was right...
when she said that Bush* was "born with a silver foot in his mouth." Now we know how that happened. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
