"I have no knowledge of his resignation"

The blue shirt with sweating shoulders.

Touring the French Quarter - in a tank.

Snipping at reporters when one of them actually behaves like a reporter.

Body language with Nagin this morning.

I think I am truly starting to believe that they're going to find him soon sitting at the base of the Washington Monument with a fifth of JD and a Big Mac. I think the boy is going to be checking in to Walter Reed (or Betty Ford) for "undisclosed reasons" any time now.

Am I happy? What do you think.

33. My God the whole group looks stupid
They are in the FREAKING FRENCH QUARTER for Christ's sakes!

It wasn't flooded and it wasn't even that damaged...hell people are still sitting and drinking in some bar there--I would be willing to bet it's probably safer there currently, than it is NORMALLY.

What are they ducking for? Why is the chimperor barely poking his tiny air filled head out of the vehicle?

They are riding with a four star general surrounded by military.

I just give it the hell up--where am I living?

Maybe I will take up smoking pot, call it a day and start voting Lberatarian. I can't take too much more of stupidity like this...
it's like the blind leading the criminal and clueless.

12. This is my dream...
I want Bush to have a full-on breakdown, live on the air, for all Americans to view.

I'm talking about a stuttering, drooling, hiding under a desk sucking his thumb meltown.

Something that Americans cannot ignore or explain away and that will kill his political career.

Honestly, I have always thought that if Bush's dad were to die while he was in office it would NOT be pretty. Junior has some very serious issues around his dad -- he can barely talk about him without breaking into tears.

Half the voters have such severe mental problems themselves that they still voted for him, anyway. Or, they own stock in oil companies and defense contractors - the show must go on, on time.

49. Nope, I'd say 45%, maybe as low as 40%. Kerry won big, and it took
Plan A (Diebold and ES&S secret, proprietary programming code) and Plan B (Ohio) to overcome it.

They didn't need Plan C, though--except in Warren County, Ohio (phony "terrorist alerts," well set up in the "news" prior to the election), which makes me think Kerry's victory was more in the 10% margin range. If he'd shown more balls on the war (58% of the American people opposed the Iraq war, BEFORE the invasion, Feb. '03, across the board in all polls, a stat that dipped only once, during the few weeks of the invasion with U.S. troops at max risk, then went right back up to nearly 60%, where it remained throughout the election), Kerry would have overcome Plans A and B, and won by more like a 20% margin, and we would have seen a knockdown dragout between former Dem Sec of State Kevin Shelley and Arnold Schwarzenegger about the legitimacy of a partial vote, excluding major Dem urban areas of Calif, due to "terrorist" lockdown--and other out-in-the-open power struggles. Would have been interesting.

(Did you know that Dick Cheney flew to Hawaii two days before the election, dropping newsturds along the way that Hawaii was promising to turn "red"--Hawaii!--and he was going there to stump for votes. ????!!!! Ha, ha. Think: V-P's plane under attack over the Pacific; missiles flying; emergency landing at LAX--on election day. But Kerry didn't win big enough to trigger Plan C.)

Anyway, stop dissing the majority of Americans! We TRIED to oust these bastards. We just hadn't figured on the bipartisan corruption in the electronic voting boondoggle. Tripped up the Dems (who didn't want a president beholden to the antiwar majority, in any case).

Paper ballots, hand-counted at the precinct level! Throw Diebold and ES&S election theft machines into 'Boston Harbor' NOW! (or a Louisiana levee might do!).

14. Bill Maher had it right. Bush no longer wants
his job. He's never stuck to anything this long in his life. He owned the Rangers for about a minute. His businesses were fleeting hobbies. He walked away from the Guard. His college years were undistinguished. He has no fervor. He's in over his head and even his handlers can no longer keep him propped up.
He's exhausted and bored.
And so are we.
Plus, we're angry at having a leader this pathetically inept.

believe it, those are the words we could hear next....

bush is the kind of guy who would resign and get off scott free, rather than face the wrath of impeachment.

he won't be prosecuted. he'll just move off to a cushy carlyle group job. we'll have to move hell or highwater, to get after him and prosecute him.

and by the way his entire reputation everything that means so much to him, has crumbled. he will give up I can taste it.

51. I don't know about wanting a Bush meltdown. I'm concerned that Cheney
made (or is making) a move to take over, and Bush is a basket case; that Cheney blackmailed Bush with threat of Treasonage ratting out (who then tried to blackmail Blanco) to get total control of LA and all that aid loot, land and oil--that was Cheney's price; meanwhile Rove negotiating for a Treasongate pardon (withdrew his spin machine services for 3-4 days during Katrina, and Bush, without his usual support system, floundered badly); and more...

See my Bush-Rove-Browne-Cheney-Treasongate-Daddy Bush-Clinton theory, Post #52, at
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x4747010

I think the situation may be somewhat stabilised (Cheney appeased with LA loot; presidential pardons in place), but I think we had serious disarray in the White House during Katrina, and not of a good kind. Cheney is a magnitude 5 hurricane all by himself. Very dangerous man.
