Scottie "clarifies" Bush*s statement (re Brown resignation)
I love it when Scottie "clarifies" things.
He reminds me of the guy who carries a shovel and bucket behind the elephant in the circus parade.

He came back to the pool reporters on AF1 and told them that "Of course the president knew Brown had resigned, but he just didn't know it had been made public yet."

Pass the shovel.
:-(

22. Thanks etherealtruth
After months of boycotting MSM (used to work for one of them)and following the best blogging sites, I couldn't stay away from DU and finally couldn't resist registering.

I'm originally from Panama (and US Citizen) and when *sh was running for the 00 E, I told anyone that was willing to hear me out that, having lived thru two dictators, I was seeing too many red flags. My heart is broken for having been right.

7. So Scottie admits Bush just lied to the public?
"I have no knowledge of Brown resigning"

That's a flat-out lie. no way around it.

12. SURE, he knew. . . how?
Brown, who said he last talked to Bush five or six days ago, said the resignation was his idea. He spoke Saturday to White House chief of staff Andrew Card, who did not request his departure, according to Brown.

"I'm turning in my resignation today," Brown said. "I think it's in the best interest of the agency and the best interest of the president to do that and get the media focused on the good things that are going on, instead of me."

Shortly after Brown was recalled to Washington last week, officials close to the FEMA director said he would probably resign. They said that even before Katrina, Brown had been planning on leaving the administration late this fall to go into the private sector.

14. Susan Malveaux said the resignation letter was in dumb yas hand
well before he tried to play it off as unknown to him.
He could at least get ahead of an issue once and say that he called for his head or something.

They would have given bush* a prepared statement to make for when it was announced the minute he was notified of it.

Scottie's going to need a bigger bucket on this one. :eyes:
