Regarding China allowing foreign business

I am probably just really slow on the uptake here but I had a thought about China today. This country is still communist and still owns all of the ladn in China. It merely grants businesses permission to use the land. Not only did China need foreign investment to spur their socialist economy but also...this could be a geat defense move for the country. They now have all of these factories in their country built by foreigners..so if they ever fall into a major war they will have more resources at their disposal as they would most likely retake ownership of the businesses. Also...it is very unlikely any capitalist state would want to go to war with China now..ESPECIALLY the USA. So much of our business is now over there that the Chinese could shut our economy down and if we bombed their major cities we would really just be bombing our own businesses. If this was the thought process behind the Chinese government I have to say it seems like a pretty masterful plan.

2. right now, a big trade war would hurt China more than the US

US & Japanese companies would just move factories to India, Mexico & Brazil. In 5 years, or 10,(or maybe more)it will be a different story.

Also, China recently changed their laws to allow private ownership of land.

since there isn't one planned, China is booming...but a shooting war.

And China is no longer communist.

4. Thank you - I have

been saying this for over a year and people think I am crazy. This is how China takes over the US without firing a shot. Everyone is complacent because their military is not very strong.

It is their history to nationalize foreign businesses and kick the people out.
They are now manufacturing so many support products that are necessary to run our defense.

Also - when China does not like something the US has done, they can refuse to ship. How long will americans last if the stores are empty of evverything made in China? and support equipment for sefense cannot even be manufactured in the US anymore.

Westerners are still arrogant when it comes to the Chinese. The Chinese think and plan long term and work toward those goals. US businesses think they are getting the best of them on a 30 day balance sheet.

We are being sold out by the most idiotic among us.

5. China isn't attacking anyone

In fact they've remained in isolation for 5000 years

They are the least likely aggressors on the planet.

Their 'coming out' and joining the rest of the world is cause for celebration.

6. That is the point

I am not talking about the historical world wars. I am talking about how American has become dependent. No attacks are necessary.

We have exported our manufacturing to China and India - for the sake of saving money and reaping greater short term profits. The american facilities are gone or rusting.

China is quietly gathering Asian countries into an economic block. They are securing natural resources, esp. oil.

If China said tomorrow that they are pulling their funds from the US and are not shipping to the US - how long would we last. Do we bomb the very manufacturing facilities we depend upon?

There will not be a war as we have known them - we will just have to succumb to the will of China. Who cares anyway? - the consumer base is no long the US.

Just like everyone else. We are all becoming interdependent now.

A quiet clean way to bring an end to war.

A multi-polar world...no more empires.
