Poll question: Likelihood of Impeachment
Really, what do you think? I know the Administration has recently taken serious political damage, but the repubs in Congress are still sticking with their man... if they do, then I can only hope that Impeachment can be considered... what do you think?

2. It's gonna take a hell of
a turnaround in the House in '06 for any of that to happen, and frankly, I just don't see it happening.

3. Unless you can clear out Cheney, the cabinet, and the Republican
congressional leadership, there's no point to it. I'd rather have a deranged Chimpanzee WHO CAN'T RUN FOR RE-ElECTION than a Cheney/Rice/Gonzales who can. Short of armed revolution (which ain't gonna happen), the nutcase Republicans will retain control of the congress until at least 2006, and the presidency until 2008. Why waste time arguing over something thats not gonna happen when you could be working to elect Democrats in 2006.

Take back the house and senate in 2006, then we're in a position to bargain.

25. 72% of you are the problem
Edited on Tue Sep-13-05 06:42 AM by surrealist
You are the problem because you visualize three more years of hell on earth. You want it, you got it. Even if you don't want it - if you fear it - you draw it to you. Thanks a bunch for your "can do" attitude. You don't know the future. You don't know how this story ends. If you studied Greek tragedy, you would understand how stories like this end. You 72% are hopeless because you probably don't study history and you think you're the first ones to ever go through something like this. The apex of the story comes when the hero finally gets his shit together and confronts what's bothering him. If you're all a bunch of cowards . . . oh never mind. You just have to wait around for someone to save you.

26. Yeah, it's all my fault
Seventy two percent of us are all sorry for being grounded on planet Earth instead placing our minds of in some sort of dreamy fairytale state where everything is great and Al Gore is president.

5. As far as I'm concerned, it's up to us.
Edited on Mon Sep-12-05 10:04 PM by rocknation
We need to start screaming "IMPEACH!" We need to turn the september 25 washington DC anti-war march into an anti-bush march. We need to pull all the blogs together on this. We need to call our congressional reps and say, "Vote for impeachment OR I DON'T VOTE FOR YOU."

There are web sites where you can make your own bumper stickers. Make one that says IMPEACH and give them to your friends! Remember, all Cindy Sheehan started out with was her grief.

12. I think you mean DESPITE the fact that we KEEP catching them
Like each and every one of these is them getting caught with their PANTS DOWN:

1. Bush Ingored CONTINUOUS Warnings about Al Qaeda Attack throughuot 2001
2. No WMD
3. DSM
4. Katrina/New Orleans
5. Incompetent choice of nominees

and MANY MANY MORE incidents where the Bush Admin has been CAUGHT with their pants down..

it doesn't matter that we catch them... they are shameless.

10. Even though I don't think it is possible
I think it is a great idea for us to use the term often and encourage our members of Congress to go for it. If we could even get a glimmer of an impeach and remove movement going we can bring a big screaching halt to the rest of these criminals legislative agenda - just like they did to Bill Clinton. They knew Clinton would never be removed but they also stopped him in his tracks while the BS was going on.

I hope a lot of things. I hope the human race wakes the fuck up one of these days, mostly.

So sure as shit I hope he's impeached. He's certainly earned it by now.

17. It will take something extraordinary to happen
like the Pentagon Papers or Watergate Tapes.Someone needs to leak some
verifiable document indicating the Bush Crime Family was indeed behind
the Sept.11 2001 attacks.We need a new Deep Throat.

But that's about all I've got, as I've seen no evidence the G.O.P. leadership wants to remove him as they should, for the sake of their own survival. They're still cowering like the sad, sick, abused little misogynist homophobes they are. Just little dogs looking for a new master. Oh, Senator McCain? Keep spouting the anti-choice rhetoric and play like you still have a spine and they might agree to follow you instead. Then you can chuck *. Maybe.

20. No way. There's been no accountability so far -- won't start now.
They have way too much power now. Our country is in deep do-do, as they say - and it's sinking like the Titanic. I'm afraid we have some very dark days ahead.

Or, demand immediate withdrawal from Iraq. Impeach? What a laugh.

22. I hope, but I know it won't. The Dems could take control of the Senate
but they are too busy sitting on their butts not making some strong connections to the REPUBLICAN mismanagement of this most recent disaster. If they aren't going to take charge now, they won't gain control of anything in 2006, will probably lose seats again to the cheating RNC, and we will be stuck with this horrible, horrible excuse for a President for the rest of his term.

And then we'll get another one...
