Why some Du'ers faith in Capitol Hill Blue bothers me
The reason why stuff like this bothers me is; this is what they do. Fox news makes shit up, republicans eat it up because they agree with it and want it to be true. Drudge makes shit up about dems and repubs eat it up because they want it to be true. David Brock wrote a bullshit book about Anita Hill and they ate it up because they wanted it to be true.

If we fall hook line and sinker for CHB, Tom Flocco and TBRnews we are the same as the people deride for being “deluded freepers” (minus the hate, racism, malice and insanity of course). People will write fiction and it bothers me to see DU’ers believing it while suspending critical thinking.

We can’t let hope and want get into the way of intelligence and logic. The facts are on our side anyways, there is no reason to believe total or partial fiction. I do not understand why rank incompetence, cronyism, bad government, bad policies, a total lack of empathy and care for the suffering of others, major corruption, non-existent planning, rampant propaganda, the slaughter of Iraqis etc etc etc isn’t good enough for certain people to re-affirm their (correct) belief that bush is a terrible evil man and the worst president of all time.

Why do we need to mix in paranoid conspiracies (Rove caused the power outages to distract away from Brown) or other silly attacks (bush is crazy and needs medication to control mood swings)?

There is every reason to doubt everything this administration says is true and doubt everything that this administration does is right. Yet,there is no reason to blindly accept something that is anti-bush and highly suspect to be true.

If we blindly accept what we are told to be fact without critically thinking about it, we are sheeple.

1. I don't trust "Capitol Hill Blue" or TBR News.

I'm not familiar with Tom Flocco, and so I have no opinion on his writing.

4. We have not heard one ounce of 'gossip' from inside the WH. Now
all of a sudden the flood gates are open. Why? So that they can paint the President is a dumb idiot and the machine behind him can scurry away and "rebrand".

5. Thank you
you are absolutely right.

They plant this shit just so they can point at us and say "see? they're friggin' nuts!"

We have to stop taking the bait. The same is true for Madsen. It's all a deliberate disinfo campaign meant to make us look like maniacs.

8. It's misdirection and Rovian.
More dirty tricks. Better to stick to the facts, there are so many of them to bring out.

Conspiracy theories in the public debate worry me because they, not being true, can be discredited and then the real FU's are ignored.

7. What I do
is I listen to it and keep it in mind but I don't trust anything until I see it happening for myself. Things change all the time.
