This is an online journal written by the guys who got our website up and running again after Katrina destroyed it. They work for the internet server, DirectNic. They've been in a highrise business building in downtown New Orleans since Katrina hit town. Besides getting us back up and running, they've also been working with the City patching phone and computer lines back together and running everything with diesel fuel they transferred by hand.
They've also been out on the streets interviewing anyone who would speak with them and helping with the rescue efforts. While the entire journal is interesting (and most of it is probably an historical document now), the most recent entry of 9-12-05 at 5:05 pm by Robert LeBlanc is wonderful to read. He describes what we kind of knew was going on there. The people of the City of New Orleans are just wonderful, gracious people, regardless of economic status and it's good to hear their efforts described in the first person. Enjoy.......
