As Americans spent Sunday remembering the Sept. 11 attacks of four years ago, the debate over the righteousness of the conflict in Iraq and the reasons President Bush gave for it continued. Yet as the events of Sept. 11, 2001 and the crimes of Saddam Hussein drift away from us into history, it remains important to remember why America's safety and security so crucially rest on the struggle for Iraq and why the conflict was and still is right. Americans should consider the following evidence, taken from a variety of scholarly and journalistic sources.
<snip>
Saddam tried to have President George H. W. Bush killed in a terrorist attack in 1993. This event is more than a mere act of aggression against the Bush family but, because of George H. W. Bush's former role as president, also an act of war.
(Oh NO! The "He tried to kill mah daddy" reason!)
<snip>
A democratic, free, lawful and transparent Iraq will provide peace and stability to the Middle East and the world.
As the mightiest nation on earth we can only lose this war by our own choosing. In this time of reflection it is important to not only remember the shocking images that introduced this struggle to us, but also the details and evidence that require our tenacity. Americans may debate over whether President Bush poorly or inadequately defined the message of this war. Perhaps he did. But the facts that exist compel us to stay the course because the message, even if not the messenger, of this war and the war itself is right and good and true.

So WHY is this guy wasting his time and testosterone as a grad student when it's obvious to me that a young man of his "patriotic" bent would be of better use "Over There"?
Oh, that's right, he's an "Aristocrat in Training" and war "isn't for HIS kind of people"
No, it's for people like MY kid (thank Random Chance for a bee sting allergy, else she'd be over there)...
Bet he drives an SUV, too.
