Is it possible that Bush could have done something right?
Edited on Tue Sep-13-05 12:48 PM by ck4829
We all know of the strong relationship between Bush and 'errors'.

Has Bush made a mistake that while the RW sees as good, it really could be good for all of us.

What if Bush made a 'blunder' when he nominated Roberts to be on the Supreme Court?

What if Roberts turns out to be a Justice who is like Souter?

I believe there is a chance that this could happen and I will definitely be praying that this happens.

1. I believe he makes blunders all the time and he could certainly
be making one now.

2. wrong question...
Instead of asking "is it possible that Bush made a blunder", I find it easier to ask "is it possible that Bush could have done something right".

The point of the question should be to ask if something incredible happened, instead of the same-old day to day. Would you ask if the earth still orbited the sun?

5. If I believed Roberts to be an honest man . . .

I'd feel better about his nomination. Yes, I disagree with him on many points, but he does appear learned, consistent, and capable.

However, finding an honest person in the Bush administration is like looking for gold in shit -- you're going to smell pretty bad and end up broke.

I think this guy is probably a flaming fanatic with the presence of mind to conceal his worst impulses when writing opinions, memos, etc., that he knows people will see. I mean, c'mon, he's been preparing himself to take a seat on the Court since he was about 8 years old.

And why have they held back the opinions he wrote post-Reagan? Because if anyone read them they'd know what kind of a justice he's going to be: an uber-Scalia with better manners.

I have a very bad feeling about this.
