Katrina brings a brief glimpse of freedom and fresh air to a few.
86,000 broiler chickens at this one factory farm alone will be either left to starve or will be destoyed somehow. But given what they could expect otherwise, this is quite the reprieve for them no matter how brief. Maybe it's just because I have seen too many videos on the lives of broiler and egg-laying chickens, but seeing this first photo of this chicken being able to spread its little wings in the fresh air has moved me very much.

These are just a few pics of what a normal life is for them.
