Falls Creek Waiting For Evacuees

POSTED: 10:28 am CDT September 6, 2005
UPDATED: 1:10 pm CDT September 6, 2005

DAVIS, Okla. -- A church camp in southern Oklahoma was expecting as many as 3,000 evacuees from the storm-battered Gulf Coast region, but none had arrived there by early Tuesday.

Hundreds of volunteers have been prepared to welcome displaced people at the Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center, a 360-acre camp in the Arbuckle Mountains.

A 6,000-seat outdoor amphitheater has been packed with men's, women's and children's clothes. Hundreds of pairs of shoes have been lined up.

DAVIS, Okla. -- More evacuees from Hurricane Katrina are expected to arrive in Oklahoma. Falls Creek, located near Davis, is expected to receive up to 3,000 evacuees sometime. They'll be arriving throughout the day.

The camp is owned and operated by the Southern Baptist Convention of Oklahoma. The American Red Cross is working with Baptist officials to oversee sheltering needs at the camp.

I just got back from a FEMA Detainment Camp

He then precedes to tell us that some churches had already enquired into whether they could send a van or bus on Sundays to pick up any occupants of their cabins who might be interested in attending church. FEMA will not allow this. The occupants of the camp cannot leave the camp for any reason. If they leave the camp they may never return. They will be issued FEMA identification cards and "a sum of money" and they will remain within the camp for the next 5 months.

My son looks at me and mumbles "Welcome to Krakow."

My mother then asked if the churches would be allowed to come to their cabin and conduct services if the occupants wanted to attend. The response was "No ma'am. You don't understand. Your church no longer owns this building. This building is now owned by FEMA and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. They have it for the next 5 months." This scares my mother who asks "Do you mean they have leased it?" The man replies, "Yes, ma'am...lock, stock and barrel. They have taken over everything that pertains to this facility for the next 5 months."

6. This appears to be a trial run for Martial Law, IMHO.
Forced church going, that really scares this Atheist.

4. my memory is really fuzzy on this
but I seem to recall reading about camps in the US that were fully functional and had guards, but no people being housed there. They were sort of hid and kept quiet, but there were pictures of them. I don't recall much of the information and I had it stored on my broken down computer so I can't refresh my memory. Are these the camps they are talking about? Or does anyone remember something like this?

5. Those were for RX-84 if there was a mass border crossing of Mexican
Immigrants. I guess they could be used for this too.

THE LOCATION OF CONCENTRATION CAMPS IN AMERICA

concentration, as in think harder, is where they want to put us. The US is slowly becoming like Chile and Argentina in the '70s ... those inconvenient people the fascists want to be rid of (Dems and Greens ?) may end up disappearing someday.

madness. The Ollie North/FEMA plans for concentration camps freaks me out.

As an Order of the Arrow, Scouting's version of a secret society, I began to think of that as a template for how to influence our intelligence agencies. Unfortunately the Knights of Malta and Opus Dei have beaten everyone to the draw. Spy from the FBI Robert Hanssen was Opus Dei

http://www.pacificnews.org/jinn/stories/6.31/010305-spy.html

and the Mormons have a hiring preference in the FBI/CIA per the August 4, 1997 Time Magazine article 'Kingdom Come' (with cover Mormons, Inc).

Who REALLY controls our intelligence agencies ? Knights of Malta and the Mormons ? Or those entities rightwing preferences...

Falls Creek Relief Efforts Called Off

Oklahoma City, OK -- September 12, 2005 – After having anticipated the arrival of survivors from Hurricane Katrina for nearly two weeks, Governor Henry announced Tuesday that at the request of FEMA, relief efforts at Falls Creek are no longer needed.

....

...the conflicting signals from FEMA over the past two weeks regarding the use of Falls Creek were ... frustrating, ...

NOTE interesting comment about FEMA

12. I saw a piece on this camp on TV last week. Having said that I can't
remember where. Maybe "60 Minutes" or "Now"? I'll have to check it out. It showed the camp, and it was very isolated. A family tried to take supplies, and were rebuffed by guards until they made up some excuse. There was a men's dorm and a women's dorm. It was stoked with everything. But there were no inmates, or "evacuees" to be seen. Very strange.

14. there were several DU threads about this.....Falls Creek is isolated
it's a summer camp of the OK SoBapt Convention

churches in the state that want to build cabins there.....at least that's the way it was when I went there for a week in 1955 with a group from my church

there was a week or so for families, a week or so for young people; you get the idea......and everyday there were church meetings and workshops in the amphitheater

I asked in the OK state forum if anyone had any reliable SoBapt contact, but there were no replies......I left the denomination long ago
