I'm curious about something I just saw on a news caption, it
said that NO might be reopened in a few days if the water reports turned out to be "positive"?

How on Earth could that water pass inspection? How could any report on the water in that area come back "positive"? Isn't that kind of illogical? Peculiar? It seems to defy reason IMHO.

9. Exactly! I educated myself REAL good after 2004 I know enough
to know that it's a sham of an "election" system we got here in the good ole USA - home of the "free" model of "Democracy."

That post-election we won cause we said so crap didn't make sense to me either. In spite of all the evidence to the contrary, nah. They can sell it but I ain't buyin' it.

I get the feeling we live through the lookin' glass or something.

SUBTERFUGE eh

6. I always had a hard time with that. All that debris and who knows
what and they said the air was fine. In fact, if I remember right, they said that pretty quickly too. I just don't believe them. It doesn't make sense it's not logical or rational.

4. Nagin announced it:

Nagin may allow Uptown, French Quarter and Algiers residents back Monday

05:22 PM CDT on Tuesday, September 13, 2005

WWLTV.com

New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin said Tuesday that he hopes that he can allow citizens who live Uptown, in the French Quarter and in Algiers to come back to their homes by Monday to get the city back in business.

“I’m tired of hearing helicopters overhead,” he said. “I want to hear some jazz.”

Nagin said that while the city is out of cash, he believes he’ll get a line of credit from some financial institutions to pay bills through the end of the year.

He added that he did not think the city would have to declare bankruptcy.

WWL-TV reporter Dennis Woltering said water is going down in much of the city and as it does a large level of destruction can be seen on West End and in the businesses near the Lakefront.

When asked if Governor Kathleen Blanco did a good job in the aftermath of the storm, Nagin said that in the final analysis, “everyone could have done a better job.”

5. I think they might be talking about drinking water
which would be out of the water treatment plant.

Just speculation...

8. Yeah, I think that IS what they are talking about, but I just don't
see how it could be safe for consumption; especially this soon? That's really sick and scary.

11. Yes, once the flood water is gone
then they back flush the water lines and they are back in business. Still not a good idea to drink the water, but only because it was never a good idea to drink the water in NO.

I didn't say I agreed or didn't disagree with what they were doing, just that this is what was being done.

22. Oh, I thought we were speaking figuratively...my bad, I'm
a little outraged at the blatant lack of humanity I see for my Countrymen. Forgive me. I was imagining that I was speaking with the dark forces that threaten my peace and steal my joy...not to mention my prosperity.

I'm still confused as to what I've said or done to set you off?

30. Of course,
No harm done.

We've all been through some moments that are better then others the last couple of weeks. It is very hard when it is so apparent that our own government cares nothing for its citizens.

Hang in there.

Peace

31. Thank you so much. I appreciate your understanding.
Roger that, when its so obvious our government has seemingly thrown us to the wolves and to the wind. It's hard to swallow and extremely unnerving. So, again, thanks for your kindness.

I most definitely will hang in there.

Peace

33. Positive may also mean a boiling order is in place.
You can use it but you have to boil it before you can drink or cook with it.

36. Actually communities do that, the water supply sometimes becomes
compromised, and people are told to boil the water before they use it. It could be a temporary way to get water flowing in NOLA.
