Bush's apology cements the blame of the federal government squarely where it belongs. On his head.

And the American people, represented through polls (in modern Amerika polls are taken more seriously by Bush than electronic votes), will not be satisfied until we have his head.

Bush's desire to apologize and then move forward to 'fix' (some say whitewash) what went wrong is rejected by the facts and by we the people. Accepting his apology is unpatriotic because only someone who hates America and the freedoms we enjoy would make the decisions Bush made that led to this disaster.

What facts and decisions deny Bush his forgiveness?

The fact that Bush cut the ACOE Levy funding by 80% and then blew 1000 times that on a tax cut for the rich and pork barrel projects for Republican congressmen.

The fact that Bush assigned to Iraq the national guard whose job is to protect Americans at home and whose labor was desperately needed to evacuate and rescue a drowned American city.

The fact that Bush hired a complete stooge to lead FEMA because it was a political favor between Republicans who care more about their frat-boy roommates than they do about the safety of the millions Americans who find themselves in the bullseye of a storm threatening death and destruction every annual hurricane season.

The fact that Bush has bankrupt the treasury to pay for a War for Oil that his frat-boy Republican roommates have planned for a decade. A war that has been so poorly managed that our top generals privately admit we cannot win.

And the fact that with a bankrupt treasury and debt to GDP ratio that is the worst since immediate post World War 2 levels we have to beg for private donations from already cash strapped Americans and let the poorest nations on this planet give millions of dollars that will be paid by Bush to Halliburton to rebuild the CITY OF SOUL in the image desired by wallstreet's most soul-less developers.

Fuck you Bush, Fucking die, go away and burn in Hell.

It'd accept one for that before katrina....In the case of terrorists it might be viable that they snuck around our defenses and cleverly attacked, though DHS was doing its best. But Katrina did not sneak. It was on the news for days, and there was oodles of information...Both before, and in the critical three days after. There is no excuse.
