Let's make sure the CA press knows about Arnold & Enron
Maybe, just maybe, the LA Times and SF Chronicle haven't heard about Greg Palast getting the memos showing Arnold met with Ken Lay.

Let's make damned (can I say that?) sure they know. Call - fax - e-mail today!

2. I sent the story to four bay area stations yesterday moring
referencing the Palast story, and Debra Saunders at the Chronicle. I'm someone who is not that active, so i can assume that hundreds of others have sent the info to just about every news outlet in the state.

It doesn't mean anyone will report it. I don't know why.

3. I just called both papers
Talked to the City Desk at the LA Times. The guy said they were aware of the story, but he didn't think they would be reporting it. I asked him why and he said he didn't know and didn't make those decisions, but it didn't look like a story they were going to run with. I asked him who did make the decisions and could I talk to him/her. He said I should call 1-800-LATIMES (1-800-528-4637) and ask for Jaimie Gold tomorrow and ask her. I asked her title and he said Reader's Representative.

Then I called The Chronicle and asked for the City Desk. The guy there transfered me to "someone in politics" who said they were aware of the story from some guy in England and may run it if they can verify the story. I asked if he had seen the copies of the memos Greg Palast recieved and he said they were checking into it. I asked if he knew that the Sacramento News and Review reported the story in August and again on 10/2/03. He said they were verifying it, but they may or may not run the story. I started to ask why they wouldn't, but he hung up.

Liberal media my ass.
