THE UN has just crowned it the best place to live in the world for the fifth year in a row. But now Norway has voted out the Government in favour of an alliance committed to spending more of the kingdom’s fabulous oil wealth on welfare and public services.
Jens Stoltenberg, the Labour Party leader, became Prime Minister after his alliance won more than half the seats in the parliament. Asked what his priorities would be, he declared: “Jobs, schools and care for the elderly.”
