My undying love and adulation for the person who can answer this correctly:

Why BLUE shirts?

1. Isn't blue the favorite color of most people?
Rove knows this of course.

22. I think you nailed it. It's not just blue-collar. Blue does have a
calming effect. If you want someone to be more attentive to your needs, you are supposed to write a letter in blue ink or font color rather than black.

6. Blue is supposed to lead one to believe he is 'cool, calm and
collected' under stress but they, as usual, don't take into account the idiot wearing the blue which negates the 'blue shirt' message, lol.

7. In color theory - various colors get various emotions going. Red
leads to aggression, yellow - anxiety, green-calm & blue - sad.

Think about being in a room painted all one deep color.

Since blue is supposed to calm people down and perhaps get them sad.. perhaps Bush is trying to move us away from outrage and into sadness. Don't know. But he has been wearing those steel blue colors all the time.

After all, the usual red tie might look like a bull's eye to us all and encourage continued outrage. (A bull being an animal who aggressively attacks red).

13. My humble opinion...
Bush's Brain: "Dang, there's water, lots of water here in New Orleans... I need to blend in so I'm not that noticeable... People will start wanting me to 'Do Stuff'... If I wear blue, I'll be less noticeable and won't have to do stuff!"

"Hey, Laura where are my blue shirts?"

"Must look good for photo op!"

Yeah, I agree that he's a narcissistic sociopath... I just think he's a 'simple' narcissistic sociopath!

15. Because he's so incredibly divorced from reality, he thinks blue-collar
peons like me actually wear blue collars all the time.

19. Not exactly...
... in a lot of his photo-ops with "working people" he often wears plaids or solid corduroys.

This blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up is meant to signify two things. Someone did a study of underwear (of all things) which suggested that people who wore blue were trustworthy and honest. I think that's one component of this.

The second is that a blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up suggests the person is at the moment working at manual labor. Give him time--he'll be seen throwing a board or two on a truck, soon.

It's all artifice and showmanship. It has to be, because there's no there there.

Cheers.

20. I have predicted ALL of his blue shirts..
The light colored "casual" checkered one..short sleeved
then
the "formal" darker blue checkered shirt..sleeves rolled up..

medium blue windowpane checks..

and the others in verying shades.. all slightly checkered...

It makes him look like "any 'ole guy"...on his way to Home Depot.. a man of the people..down to earth..

:puke:
