Go Shaq!
Shaq helps nab gay bashers
14/09/2005 07:54

Miami Beach, Florida - Basketball star Shaquille O'Neal put his police training to good use when he helped nab a suspect who allegedly assaulted a gay couple.

O'Neal, who is working towards a career as a policeman once his basketball playing days are over, witnessed a man yell anti-gay remarks before throwing a bottle at a couple walking along a Miami beach early on Sunday morning, Miami police said.

O'Neal followed the suspect's vehicle and alerted a police officer who made an arrest, the Miami Herald reported.

Michael Gonzalez, 18, was charged with aggravated assault and assault with a deadly weapon.

For the past few years, O'Neal has been training during the off-season to become a police officer.

4. Wow - that's amazing! Good for him! I always thought he was an asshole.
But getting that bigoted fuck nailed is great, and also the fact that he wants, with his millions of dollars, to be a cop - that's amazingly cool.

8. Good for Shaq!
I've always known he was a good guy, despite what some folks around here said. My only real regret is that the Lakers let him go to Miami and kept Kobe, instead of the other way around.

Way to go Shaq, and I think he'll make a great cop.
