What will you do now, George, to make us a safer nation?

What will you do, George, to make us a safer nation? What will you do now that your weakness in domestic safety has been exposed by nature? You can't blame this on the Democrats. You can't blame this on the "liberal press." You can only blame your ineptness as a leader.

You can't do the job of President. It is hard work and you aren't up to it. It requires attention 24/7. The President cannot go on vacation and leave the country to run itself. The President can't go home at 5:00 and call it a day. The President cannot go for an afternoon bike ride and be incommunicato from the workings of the government. Part of the job is "being there." Part of the job is knowing what is going on in the world. Part of the job is to have thick skin, knowing what is said about you and not retalliating.

You knew there was a hurricane in the Gulf. I know Fox news must have mentioned it. You could have checked in on the weather channel occasionally. They don't say anything political. You may not get praise on that channel, but you don't get criticizm either. Check it out sometime.

Will this disaster change anything? Will it make you pay more attention to the country? Will it make you pay more attention to the office you occupy? The presidency is NOT an honorary job, it requires dedication. Do you think you are up to it?

So what will you do now that you realize that there are real lives at stake? Will you change anything? Will you put the same effort into being there that you have put into your personal fitness program?

On second thought, never mind, just go back to the gym. We will be alright. We will run our own country on the local level without you. You just smile for the photo-ops, do as you are told and try not to get in the way. If you can't do anything to help us, don't do anything else to hurt us. There will be elections in 2006. Someone will come in who can take care of everything. We just need to hang on until then.
