Rove v. Wait - When, oh when, will the trial begin? (Hartford Advocate)
by Alan Bisbort
Hartford Advocate, September 15, 2005

Don't know about the rest of you, but I am still waiting for Karl Rove, Bush's erstwhile Brain, to be indicted, tried, convicted and imprisoned for the act of revealing the identity of an undercover CIA agent.

<snip>

"Despite the best efforts of the paid propagandists who work for the corporate media, I have not put Rove's criminality behind me. I have not moved on. Maybe Katrina blew the fairy dust temporarily from their eyes, but the press whores are back to covering Bush's ass even as thousands of bloated corpses are pulled from New Orleans' receding waters. The real story is monumental administration incompetence, coupled with absolutely no long-range plans for ANYTHING (see the recent energy bill) and the continuing carnage in Iraq about which all but the friends and families of those killed there in the past two weeks have forgotten.

<snip>

Even while the rest of the power-drunk Republicans are staggering around, dragging out the charade of majority leadership so that America's short-term memory loss will kick in, the rot at the core of our government is so repulsive that even the couch potatoes are left gasping. The only ones who haven't caught up to this unfolding story -- the death throes of Republican rule, the criminal elite who've turned our nation into a banana republic -- are the ones who are supposed to be covering it. They're still licking Bush's boots, just as they did down on the ranch as Cindy Sheehan roasted in the sun, dodged flying bullets and trucks of the Neanderthals who march to Bush's drumbeat. They're still ignoring the global warming crisis that precipitated Katrina and will bring more mayhem to our coastlines. They're still ignoring the irreparable damage done to the American economy by Bush and his policies, the shrinking American dollar, the gutting of our infrastructure, the pending crash of all things we hold dear.

<snip>

I am waiting for Karl Rove to be indicted, tried, convicted and imprisoned. Maybe he can serve his time in the same cell with Judith Miller, the double-dealing Mata Hari of American journalism. They can take turns revealing their sources to each other.

2. We haven't forgotten.
Very nice rant, well-written and covers a lot of bases.

It ends:
"That Bush's approval rating is even as high as 39 percent at this point is a tribute to mass psychosis and non-stop Rovian propaganda."

This national psychological experiment on the results you can expect from 24/7 brainwashing by media is fascinating. I hope if we don't cure our own cancer other countries can learn from our mistakes.

4. If Bush's support system (Rove) gets choked off..
maybe it will be easier to land the punches we need to get the Bushco looters out of our White House.

5. it goes beyond Rove
the central question of this investigation is whether or not Bush knowingly lied to Congress during the State of the Union speech in 2003.

Plame, Wilson, DSM, it all boils down to the President lying about Saddam seeking nukes from Niger. it's all inter-related if you think about it. Rove/Plame is a side story. But it sure would be nice to see Rove go to prison.
