The other talking point that neo-cons are using about the Katrina disaster is that it is not about race, it is about class differences. So, the logic goes, because the poor are everywhere in America and most often collectively concentrate in center cities and poor (gosh, who'da thunk?) neighborhoods, their plight in ant disaster in almost always assured. Yep, had a category #5 hurricane/storm surge hit anywhere in the U.S.....well, the results would have been the same. Lots of dead and displaced poor people, while the more privileged would almost always get through it all so much better....:eyes: :hurts: :yoiks:
