Bill Maher's monologue this week put Bush's presidency in stark terms.
I know it's probably been posted, but Bill Maher's monologue about Bush last Friday (just saw it last night) really cast the Bush presidency in terms I think America needs to wake up and accept:

"On your watch, we've lost almost all of our allies, the surplus, four airliners, two trade centers, a piece of the Pentagon, and the city of New Orleans. Maybe you're just not lucky. I'm not saying you don't love this country, I'm just wondering how much worse it could be if you were on the other side."

5. Maher
My husband and I laughed until we cried last Friday night listening to Maher's monologue. Actually his whole show was great. George Carlin was particularly good. He and the reporter from the Atlanta Constitution would not let the guy from (I think) the American Enterprise Institute get away with any "Bush is wonderful" stuff. This Friday he is scheduled to have P.J. O'Rourke on. That could be interesting.

9. O'Rourke
Yeah, he used to write for Rolling Stone. He's written a number of books, like "Give War a Chance", "Republican Party Reptiles" and "Peace Kills" too. He can be amusing, but since he's usually making fun of liberal politicians and policies, the amusement value is severely compromised for me. But occassionally he'll lampoon the right as well.
