I would love to see something like the "ratings" system they have at Kos.

Over there, you can rate each individual post. Then when viewing posts, you can say "I only want to see posts that have been 'rated' above a certain level."

As DU grows, the danger will be that we will get swamped in information (and trolls).

This is especially important on days when "big news" hits. Remember the Monday and Tuesday of Katrina? The GD board was almost overwhelmed the way the levees in New Orleans were - by a tidal surge of posts.

"Scalability" is a big issue in computer systems once they start getting big. Wouldn't it be cool if DU reached 1,000,000 or 10,000,000 or 100,000,000 users someday?
