I'm serious. If the recall passes but Cruz beats Arnold and is elected Governor he should appoint Davis Lt. Governor and then resign saying that the recall was a fraud anyway. Then Davis could appoint him to his duly elected post as Lt. Governor. After all this is the team that voters elected in 2002: Davis as Governor and Bustamante as Lt. Governor.
If he did this Cruz Bustamante would be a real hero to many party activists and the front runner for the 2006 Democratic nomination for Governor of California.
