6. "Because he's democrat in a red state..."
...isn't a good enough reason to support the man; anymore than Republicans should support their guy, just because he's Republican.

Do the leg work and Put a face on your man's qualities!

7. I don't know the guy or what his record is.
So with a somewhat uneasy conscience, I gve him an "A". But the totals are WEIRD, indicating some serious freeping from the other end. I no longer attach much importancce to these sorts of polls, but my conscience is now a little easier.

8. Do You Expect Republicans to Be...
...responsible voters; while you give a guy an "A" without knowing his record???

I certainly hope that you're not representative of the party.

11. Relax! It was just a "wagon circling, esprit de corps" sort of thing
in a poll that had very little significance.

I'll add this: I'm NOT a knee-jerk Democrat. With NO regrets, I cast my vote for Ralph Nader in 2000. But in the absence of any compelling evidence to the contrary, I'll support a Democrat over a Republican ANY day.

Wayne Morse was the last Republican I fully respected and admired. That was many years back, and (with Democratic Party compliicity), he was voted out of office. The only Republican who came ANYWAY NEAR Wayne Morse might be James Jeffords. And he finally had a stomach full.
