I thought he was a recovering alcoholic. What's the deal?

2. I'm sure the WH would tell you that's nonalcoholic wine, but he
has been photographed drinking wine overseas several times. I suspect he has been drinking for some time now.

8. This photo is the one that gives me pause. All those empty glasses
on the table in front of him, and he doesn't look sober. It also looks as if he might have another bruise on his face.

5. It's really apple juice.
They gave it to him in an adult glass since he graduated from the juice boxes.

and made him use the wine glass.

12. You would think with
his boozing reputation, he'd be more careful. But it's clear he's selfish and self-righteous, and the rules do not apply to him.

13. Wow, recovering alcoholic drinking and it's okay if it's the prez???
I guess all that stuff about alcoholism is "junk science" too??? We don't apply normal rules of human behavior to our leader, 'cause he's above them all? I can't believe he's drinking in public.

Or, he never was actually addicted to alcohol, having admitted to having a drinking problem though, it's hard to see how the admin could say that. Not that they wouldn't or won't. It's one or the other, can't have both, not and have a sane president at the same time, but these folks don't even bother trying to sound reasonable anymore, in their public statements, denying fact is par for the course and works well for them.

Too plain to see it is absolutely insane to allow an alcoholic to drink and "run" our nation at the same time. Ought to be illegal, I mean, if drugs are bad for the ordinary folks...

If driving impaired is dangerous, what is driving a NATION impaired??

Damn but look at all those glasses though, I agree with the consensus.

Hey, the secret service is charged with protecting him, so shouldn't they, someone, like, be protecting him from himself? He needs rehab, mobile, efficient rehab to follow him around. But what am I saying, the only thing mobile and efficient about this admin is it's ability to kill and lie. That's where all the money is, death and deceit, to shelter the reality of this most weak and vulnerable of presidents, a weakness of our nation, putting us all at risk. The biggest risk to national security we've ever seen, in the person of one little rich-boy alcoholic. OH the history of this is going to be rich.

Ought to be a law. But, if there was, I'm sure he'd break it anyway. That's what he does, our president.

Hell, he's the pretzeldent, he can do as he pleases...

Why do you think his aides are so afraid of bringing him bad news "After Hours"?

18. I'm going to *GASP* defend Bush on this one
As someone who hasn't had a drink in nearly 9 years, I can tell you that it is rather awkward to be the only person at a toast holding up a big glass of diet coke, or a water bottle. This is a photo op for the prez, and he was likely served ginger ale or sparkling cider, just so as not to make the toast.

All that said, he is still a blithering asshole.
