It's pretty much a "use and be used" town. It doesn't really make headlines because the stars don't intend to attempt to be "leaders." Look at how quick the LA Times was able to put the stories together in a "libel-proof" form for publication. It was only a few weeks. Not much time at all as these types of investigations go.

Drudge has made a huge discovery. He must attack everyone who is vulnerable, in order to keep the cash-flow going. He cannot afford to let any opening to scandel go unexplored or unexploited. As long as he keeps his hit numbers high, he can get sponsors.... He is turning into an honest Journalist in spite of himself....he will attack whoever is in power, he has to...or his ratings fall... which brings down his revenue stream... we might call this the Rehabilition of Matt Drudge.
