So I'm watching the opening segment of "The View"
and the gals are hammering Bush! BW opens with Bush's bathroom break note, and they take turns making fun of him! Then, they start talking about how inadequate Bush's apology was, and how he was generally unresponsive. The perky blonde was defending him, and the others were ganging up on her. I don't normally like or watch the show, but if this is what "mainstream America" is watching, I'm very encouraged.

3. No, more's the pity. But she's today's punching bag.
And I'm fine with that. She's nothing but a recording of wingnut talking points, the little twit.

5. Yeah, and that Joy Behar just bitch-slapped her.........
saying in response to the perky bushbot being ganged up on, "Don't worry about her. She can spin her own little spin-tales just fine."
(paraphrased)

:headbang:

4. She was the lone voice defending the blivet;
I guess once you've had a sip of that kool-aid, there's no turning back.

7. Ive been seeing your term blivet for a while now
and decided to look it up on dictionary.com.
For those who dont know the term here is the definition.

blivet

/bliv'*t/ "ten pounds of manure in a five-pound bag"] 1. An intractable
problem.

2. A crucial piece of hardware that can't be fixed or replaced
if it breaks.

3. A tool that has been hacked over by so many incompetent
programmers that it has become an unmaintainable tissue of
hacks.

4. An out-of-control but unkillable development effort.

5. An embarrassing bug that pops up during a customer demo.

6. In the subjargon of computer security specialists, a
denial-of-service attack performed by hogging limited
resources that have no access controls (for example, shared
spool space on a multi-user system).

This term has other meanings in other technical cultures;
among experimental physicists and hardware engineers of
various kinds it seems to mean any random object of unknown
purpose (similar to hackish use of frob). It has also been
used to describe an amusing trick-the-eye drawing resembling a
three-pronged fork that appears to depict a three-dimensional
object until one realises that the parts fit together in an
impossible way.

You got this right on! thanks for the grins
tib

8. I absorbed the term awhile ago, from another DUer
(can't remember who) and have always provided the definition when asked. I'm glad you looked it up! and think it's entirely apropos. :)

10. Thanks for the heads up. In our time zone it starts in about 10 minutes.
:) I don't believe I've ever watched it, though. Another poster said Howard Dean is on today.

11. Remember the stripper who claimed a bathroom quicky with *?
Just a thought...

Bush:

"Condi, I think I may NEED a BATHROOM break? Is this possible?"

With his penchant for stupid nicknames and lame insider jokes
one wonders...there was a stripper years back that claimed she had
a tawdry encounter with bush in the bathroom of some hotel.

He supposedly saved her red underwear--anyone remember that?
Her story was supposed to run in the Enquirer or something
(not sure if it did or not)

12. Ya know. I was thinking the same thing. Especially after
I saw the photo of Bolton and Condi grinning from ear to ear.

15. The *may NEED a BATHroom break? Is that possible?*
Who the hell puts a question mark on the end of a statement like that?

He is depicted as being a bossy task master so why is he ASKING if he can go to the bathroom?

Wouldn't a statement about needing a break from him be something like Need to break Reconvene in ten minutes--

Of course this is the same asshole that sat and read a book about a goat for 20 minutes while the country was under attack... so who can be sure!
