Debate on the Floor of the House is pretty Heated
Defazio just got done with a rant, finishing by saying that a Congressional investigation will just be a cover-up.

Miller is up now, calling a Congressional investigation phony.

Both have been yelling

1. Pelosi is up now but she is much to calm

She needs to go crazy on these fools.

She is saying the right words but not on fire.

5. I don't, but I can look for one
I came in on the speeches a little late. The acting Speaker was trying to prevent Corrine Brown from discussing how Cheney is making money off of the no-bid contracts in NO. The CBC won that battle. :)

Begging for there to not be a whitewash.

8. They are debating a Congressional investigation of New Orleans
vs. an independent investigation.

Every Dem that I have heard is saying that a Congressional investigation will be a sham and the American people deserve better.

Right now it's Pelosi. She is speaking calmly, where as the others were ranting and visably pissed off.

10. Louise Slaughter is up for closing remarks
Congresswoman Slaughter, says American people want an independant investigation, and notes that that includes repubs too.

Okay. repub closing remarks. Blah, blah, lie, lie. :puke:
Talking about terra, terra, terra :puke:

Soon it will be the vote and it's a done deal.

14. She's right- In recent polls, that's right up there with
re-building being more important than tax cuts. Both are kryptonite for repubs.

Dreier is blathering, taking umbrage at the suggestion that anyone in the House wouldn't be interested in the truth.

20. No. Pubs got their way.
But there will be nothing "bipartisan" about the Congressional hearings. That was what the Dems were arguing, that the Dems don't have the same subpoena power, votes, or weight, as do the repubs.

Pukes won the vote. Slaughter has requested a recorded vote---to tie that vote to all of the pukes who refuse to do what the American people have overwhelmingly said they wanted---an independent investigation.

22. Is it possible for the ,,,,,,,,,,,,People
to have .say an outside lawyer....investigate and sue the government for their lack of inaction?..........or to have a group like the 9-11 girls to start getting on media shows and start demanding an independent investigation........would congress have to tun this decision around...
