31. Now that's just plain sad ... I may hide in my
best friend's luggage when she goes back to France.

"The View" is a disgusting piece of fluff. If you have time to watch this mind numbing stupidity, you need a second job. Again, Dean needs to go on the EVENING NEWS shows not a teen fantasy packaged in a mindless gossip show, i.e., yes, regardless of the number of sheeple viewers involved. They're probably too dumb to register, much less take the time to vote. :puke:

32. Sad or not, it's the truth. And if we can do anything to make these
viewers more informed, it's a great thing.

What evening news shows are you talking about? They all have small viewerships.

I even work out at a gym 5 days a week (and listen to Air America podcasts while I do it). Multi-tasking is good.

Edited to add: I also work with DFNYC (the DFA group for NY City).

22. Well, it was just a good discussion. They went over all kinds of things,
and he came across as very reasonable, principled, and likeable.

He said that the Democrats' problem wasn't that they're liberal (paraphrasing), but that they weren't fighting for what they believed, and that he became DNC chair to fix that.

He said we need a balanced budget, and that Bush is hurting poor people, and that we need healthcare for all Americans.

25. He said....
...Bush is not a racist but his policies hurt the poor. Listed off things...Bush wants to run social security like Enron.

I think he's right about Bush not being a racist. Bush doesn't like anybody! Regardless of race, creed or color. He only likes his personal peons.

42. Bush is a racist. Powell learned the hard way.
The fine line between doing something FOR someone and doing something TO someone. Bush definately did something TO Colin Powell. I really don't think Bush would have done that TO a white guy. But I still maintain that regardless of the color of his skin. It would be wrong for Bush to that TO any person.

I think I'd hate being corrected by Barbara Walters if I were a young freepette.

19. I think he's doing all right
Because of the type of show, etc., he can't really be expected to come across all radical. I mean, come on.

He's sticking it to the freeper girl - I HATE her. And I don't hate many people.

Earlier in the week, Barbara actually had to say to her (when Bushbot was reciting the talking points re: people who didn't evacuate), 'There are people who come from different backgrounds, who didn't have the advantages you've had.'

Zzzzzing.

You can just sense that Joy wants to smack her. Watch Joy's body language.

30. I like what he said about his wife.
They kept on about why she did not campaign with him. He said that was personal choice in politics. Then he said when she's happy, I'm happy, and he smiled. I thought that was sweet.
