Choking on pretzels, scraping up his face, asking for permission
to use the bathroom, letting a story about a pet goat mar his duty to act, playing guitar and eating cake, riding in helicopters over a grieving mother to avoid her questions.

People, it's time to panic.

3. Completely BUTCHERING the English language
Like my favorite...

"Fool me once, shame
on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.
..."

I mean, he couldn't even squeeze out the right meaning behind the real saying...

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

To me that means that if you get duped twice, you are an idiot...

NOT 'You can't get fooled again...' I guess if you really think about it, you can decipher what he was trying to say, but it just makes me laugh whenever I think of it.

29. That's my FAVORITE Bush quote.
"Fool me once..."

Oh god. Funny stuff. I think there's a video of that running around the internet somewhere. If you guys haven't heard it, you should.
Not that it's hard to find Bush tripping over basic proverbs, pronounciation, or, you know, the English languege.
:)

33. SparklyJr, WELCOME to DU!
:hi:

I know, I laugh so much at it, because everyone's got their own version of it.

"Fool me once, shame on..you. Fool me twice..uh, won't get fooled again."

We have different versions of it, but the intent is all the same. Our president's head is jammed up his ass. And it's on tape.

.
I had always wondered if he is smacked around from time to time to keep him place. By whom I don't know. (And Laura seems drugged out and completely compliant.)

Why does he have those mysterious bruising accidents?

Why would he have to ask Condi about going to the bathroom (there WAS a question mark in that note).

Why are his appearances so tightly scripted?

Something's weird.

Putting on my tinfoil---did we really have coup in this country and Bush is just the stupid puppet?

Now he's showing us he's drinking again. I would put my tinfoil hat away, but somewhere where I could still see it.

AND WHAT PRESIDENT IN HISTORY has had a more scraped-up face? I'm completely flummoxed.

Now I know being president is not easy but.. The man has managed to mispronounciate and midconstrew his sentences enough to fill about 6 Bushism books, and an annual calender.. Not to mention there is a George Bush I version, too.
