Stop with the wall-to-wall Katrina coverage. Hey, you all did a great job of covering the disaster, but it is turning into exploitation and sensationalism. What happened to Iraq? What's going on in the UN? Where the hell is Cindy Sheehan?

Is it just me, or does anyone else think this is getting a bit ridiculous.

I don't mind them discussing it in detail and doing their best to cover the collection of corpses, despite the hassle the media is getting.

Obviously, Katrina was going to take precedence those first few days, but it's like she never even existed.

especially with Iraq seeming to get worse (can it possibly?). They are a big organization; seems they should be able to handle both stories...but I do want them to keep the focus on the results of the inaction, dithering, looking for their asses with both hands (resmuglicans), blaming everyone else for the deaths on the Gulf.

13. 160 people were killed and 570 were wounded in Baghdad yesterday.

Just hours ago, a car bomb just went off and killed 31 people.

I think this deserves some mention.

They do try to avoid covering the same thing on both channels at the same time.

12. Before the hurricane hit

we at least heard when soldiers died over there. They are still being killed in Iraq every day, but they have not even reported it. They do have tunnel vision and only focus on one or two issues at a time. But, it is totally disrespectful to our soldiers that we don't even report it when they die because we are focused on a hurricane.

I do think Katrina should be the leading story whereas millions of people have been affected.... and it is respectful, but damn there is a WAR going on! You would think at least one quarter of the news would cover a war we are fighting!


I'm also afraid that Bush is having his speech tonight to divert from Katrina news..... so tomorrow will be a mix of Katrina and the Chimps lousy speech
