I got a phone call from PP conducting a survey.
No problem there. I am pro-choice. Always. No but, however, or if..
But the person calling was mumbling and the questions were more of mini essays than questions.
First question - a long preamble about a woman's right to make a decision in the privacy of the doctor's office and other... could barely hear her. And then, instead of asking: should abortion remain legal? For which the answer would be YES or NO, it continued "or should it be illegal." I was ready with the YES when I heard her mumbling some more and the word illegal.
Next, a long story about Roberts. She was talking fast, but mumbling and finally I told her that I don't have time and hung up.
I am pretty certain that PP is using paid callers. It certainly pays professionals to mail solicitations. In that case, it needs to hear them talking on the phone. Mostly, however, if you are taking someone's time these days, you have to make it clear and short.
