1. I think we're still stopping the pendulum on its rightward swing.
But it's slowing way, way down. We're going to get the momentum back very, very soon.

2. I feel that we have the momentum, but we are missing democratic leadership
and until we find some the pr of the republicans will stop the momentum....... how can they not figure out a strategy when the repukes have shown such failure?

4. I can't vote in your poll, because the pendulum is NOT currenlty swinging
We have a real opportunity to MAKE the pendulum swing back to the left. We just need to seize the moment and not get distracted over bullshit issues.

5. Didn't vote
Because the most I see happening is the momentum slowing in the rightward swing.

What I believe we are seeing is the collapse of the right wing noise machine, the rest(hopefully) will follow in due time.

6. Nope...not swinging left. We must not confuse people turning against Bush
with people turning away from the Republican Party.

Some may be doing both, but there are and will be plenty who'll just blame the man and not everyone who stands with him.

There's a chance...but it's not there yet. Only the 2006 elections will tell us that.

7. It could swing left if the entire DNC was like the CBC.. on fire and
fighting for justice.

8. Reading the other day
Bush numbers going down, but democrats numbers not going up in porportion to that.

That clearly means democrats are not taking advantage.

11. I had lunch with a former colleague today
the classic country club Republican - a lawyer whose dad was a doctor. Nice guy, very easygoing and tolerant. He is absolutely horrified by what has happened to the Repukes, and is scared to death by the fundie freaks and libertarian screwballs. He's voting Dem now and told me that he is 180 degrees against ANYTHING the Chimp does. There's hope.
